Assessments for Minors and Up (Softball and Baseball) will be held April 11, 2026  Knik uses these assessments as a tool for balancing teams. These are not tryouts (all players play in Little League) but all players in minors division and above should be at the assessments.

KEY NOTES
If you volunteered to coach, you should check-in upon arrival and expect to be an evaluator for your division. Players will also check-in upon arrival and warm-up. We have less time this year to complete assessments so please be mindful for arriving on time and getting ready to go. All players should be registered prior to assessments. Registration will temporarily close on 4/4 and re-open after assessments.

Players are assessed on hitting, pitching, in-fielding and out-fielding skills. Keep in mind Little League is a developmental league. All players play, and assessments are used to create teams that are as balanced as possible. THESE ARE NOT TRYOUTS.

However please note as part of our updated by-laws: Players not attending assessments will be randomly placed on teams. Players may also lose their opportunity to be placed on a desired team based on coaching staff or personal preference/convenience. Please do your best to ensure your player can make assessments.
