On Saturday, April 6, Knik will be hosting our annual assessments for both baseball and softball at the Harry J. McDonald Center in Eagle River. This assessment is NOT a tryout, it is used to balance our teams so we have competitive teams across the board throughout our baseball and softball season. The event occurs on the turf and the Mac only allows water to be brought into the track/turf area. Do not bring any food or other beverages into the area (i.e. Coffee, etc)... only water. All Volunteer coaches are expected to check-in upon arrival for your division and help evaluate during your division's assessment.
Players must be registered prior to the assessment and will check-in upon arrival. Each player will be evaluated on infield skills (fielding grounders and throwing), outfield skills (fielding pop-ups), hitting, and pitching. Players should arrive with glove and any baseball/softball gear they need to perform at their best. After check-in, players will begin a short warm up period then then receive instructions to begin the assessment. After completing all four events, players will be released - volunteer coaches must stay until all players are complete.

10:15 - 10:45 Majors Baseball Check In
10:45 - 12:00 Majors Baseball assessments
11:45 - 12:00 Seniors / Intermediates Baseball Check In
12:00 - 1:00 Seniors / Intermediate Baseball assessments
1:30 - 2:00 Minor Softball Check In and Minor SB warm up.
2:00 - 3:00 Minor SB assessments.
2:30 - 3:00 Major and Junior Softball check in and warm ups.
3:00 - 4:30 Major and Junior Softball assessments.
